I was privileged to be invited to speak at a Lunch & Learn at Brightview Assisted Living facility in Tenafly, NJ. What a beautiful place and everyone there is so upbeat! We had a wonderful time with lots of laughs.
It's a good day for me when I see Seniors excited about using their technology. I especially love to teach people who know nothing or very little. It's fun to share their excitement when they learn something new, and begin to understand how much a computer can help them in their daily life. For example, Siri on the iPhone/iPad. It's amazing to me how many Seniors do NOT use the voice activation capabilities. I find it very useful to set up my reminders and appointments using Siri, and why bother to go into the phone app when you can simply ask Siri to make the call for you. Most phones now have voice activation, which is especially useful for people with failing eyesight.
Anyway, we laughed, learned something new and had a wonderful meal.
